Peterborough United agree to sell midfielder to Motherwell, but full-back set to return to London Road from Hibernian
O’Hara has been on loan at Fir Park for most of the current season, scoring twice in 20 appearances for the team currently sitting behind only Celtic and Rangers in the top flight of Scottish football.
The 24 year-old still has a year on his Posh contract to run, but he is unlikely to be wanted by manager Darren Ferguson even if it’s League One football again at London Road next season.

Hide AdPosh director of football Barry Fry, the man in charge of the club’s transfer negotiations, confirmed. “We have agreed a deal in principle with Motherwell for Mark’s transfer. It’s not a done deal yet because Scottish football is a bit confusing right now, but I expect it to happen.
“Motherwell seem happy with Mark and he’s not likely to get a chance with us so it’s a good move for him.”
Posh paid a small fee for O’Hara when he moved from Dundee in August, 2018. They will recoup that money from this deal.
He scored on his Posh debut in the first game of the season and two more in his second outing for the club before his form deserted him and he spent the second-half of the season on loan at League Two champions Lincoln City.

Hide AdPosh chairman Darragh MacAnthony praised Fry for continuing to work through football’s lockdown.
“Barry Fry might just be the only man to complete a transfer deal during this crisis. He’s 75 and he never stops!”
Right-back Jason Naimsith is now expected to return to Posh at the end of his loan spell at Scottish Premier Division side Hibernian.
Naismith was a regular in the Hibs side until damaging knee ligaments in January.

Hide AdHe still has a year of his Posh contract to go, but is unlikely to break into the first team ahead of Nathan Thompson and Niall Mason.
“I think Jason will be back,” Fry added. “Hibernian have not said they want to keep him yet. The injury has complicated things.”
