An annual service is normally held at the graveside of Australian Sgt Thomas Hunter, who is buried in Broadway Cemetery, on ANZAC Day, which falls on April 25.
Like last year, a normal service could not be held this year due to Coronavirus - but Peterborough City Council said a virtual service was held instead.
Sgt Hunter is known as ‘The Lonely Anzac.’ He was fighting in France during The First World War, when he was critically injured in 2016.
He was put on a medical train to be taken to a hospital in the North of England. But his condition grew worse, and he was taken to Peterborough Hospital for emergency treatment. He sadly died of his wounds at the hospital. A civic funeral was held for Sgt Hunter in Peterborough.
