Full steam ahead for artist
A professional artist from Whittlesey won the best water based painting at the annual Guild of Railway Artists exhibition. James Green (41) of Church Street triumphed with his work entitled '˜Duchess' which is based on the scene in 1964 at Crewe North.
James said it was an honour just to have his work hanging in the Guild exhibition. He added: “So to win this award was a extra special feeling for me.”
