A second post-mortem examination could be held in a bid to establish his medical cause of death, a hearing at Cambridge Crown Court was told today (July 3).

Kane Mitchell, 30, of no fixed address but formerly of St Neots, appeared by video-link from HMP Peterborough charged with Teddie’s murder.

Lucci Smith, 29, of Pattison Court, St Neots, appeared by video-link from HMP Peterborough charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

Neither of the defendants was asked to enter a plea.

Judge David Farrell QC remanded them both in custody, with no applications for bail made.

They are due back before the court for a case management hearing on October 30.

A provisional trial date has been set for November 30, with a High Court judge to preside over it.
