Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a large 19th century French bronze statue was stolen from a village near Oundle.

At about 2am on Thursday, June 25, the offender/s forced opened a set of iron gates to access the residential garden, and stole the statue of a lady sitting on a goat, which stands at just over 5ft.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this theft or been offered such a distinctive item for sale in unusual or suspicious circumstances.
