Crews lathered up on Saturday 26 March to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides life enhancing support for serving and retired firefighters and their families. They raised £600 for the cause.
Louisa Thornton, development crew manager at Spalding Fire Station, said: “I’d like to say thank you to the local Halfords which kindly donated our sponges and to everyone who turned up on the day to get their car washed. We raised a massive amount of money and I really can’t thank everyone enough for helping to make the day such a success.
“All the money will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, an organisation that is very close to all our hearts in the fire service.”
