Voyager hosts huge model show

Hundreds of highly skilled model makers will converge on The Voyager Academy to take part in the East of England Model Show - the biggest event of its kind in Eastern England.

Organised by Peterborough Scale Model Club, the show will take place on Sunday, March 6 (10am to 4pm), when more than 40 clubs and 20 traders will take part in the annual event that will see countless examples of detailed scale model aircraft, cars, military vehicles, figures, ships, model railways and more on display.

The show is sponsored by Stamford based Airfix Model World magazine, and all proceeds will go to the Academy’s designated charities.

Host club chairman Allan Haines said: “For many years we staged the show within the town hall but simply outgrew it. Now, with the Voyager venue we can do much better justice to the hobby.”

Admission is just £2 for adults, under 15s go free.
