A WORLD of fossilised fun will be on display at a garden centre throughout next month.
The Fossils Galore Museum will be hosted at the Himalaya Coffee Bar in Van Hage, Peterborough Garden Park, from August 3 to 30.
The store will transform into a gallery of prehistoric treasures and a stage for archaeological action.
Visitors will be able to view displays from all around the world, including some previously unseen exhibits, and even take part in an exciting fossil hunt throughout the garden centre and dig for remains in a specially-built sand pit.
Palaeontology enthusiast Jamie Jordan, from Fossils Galore, is heading up the event and expects it to provide fun for people of all ages.
He said: “I am really excited about the chance to show my fossils to people who might not normally see them.
“I will be there from Thursday until Tuesday throughout the month so I’ll be on hand to talk people through the displays.”
Philippa McKean, store manager at Van Hage, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fossils Galore and provide our customers with an opportunity to see Jamie’s brilliant collection first-hand.”
