For over 30 years, Peterborough Playgoers have launched the Christmas season with a heartwarming, seasonal show at the John Clare Theatre... and this year is no exception.
Directed and devised by Steve Cutts and Pam Tedcastle, ‘From One to Ninety Two’ sets its sights on the Christmas child in all of us as it aims to capture our hearts via familiar songs, poems and humorous sketches including an hilarious mini pantomime, Joyce Grenfell’s evergreen Nativity Play, and a timely helping of Adrian Mole.
A large cast representing several generations grasp the spirit of Christmas to give a cracker of a show with a wonderful selection of familiar and tuneful music. If Santa isn’t too busy in his workshop, he will be there too.
Always a very popular show, you will need to take a fast sleigh ride in order to secure your tickets.
‘From One To Ninety Two: a celebration of Christmas’ runs from Wednesday, December 3 to Saturday, December 6 when there will be a 2.30pm matinee. Evening shows are at 7.30pm. All tickets priced at £10 available at the Tourist Information Centre, Bridge Street or on the door at the John Clare Theatre.
