The Rise and Rise of PODS continues with '˜Little Voice'

Following the sensational sell-out success of '˜Hairspray' at The Cresset in April, Peterborough's award-winning musical theatre company PODS presents Jim Cartwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the Key Theatre Studio from September 6 to 10.

This much-loved tragi-comedy sparked the BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning film ‘Little Voice’ which starred Jane Horrocks and Michael Caine. ‘Little Voice’ is silenced by her loud, drunken mother. She finds her voice mimicking the divas of her late father’s record collection, such as Shirley Bassey and Judy Garland. Her mother’s new beau, a talent scout, sees Little Voice as his opportunity to hit the big time, with terrible consequences. Directed by Sandra Samwell, a talented cast of six will move you from gales of laughter to tears of empathy in a second. Tickets cost £10 from the box office on 01733 207239 or www.vivacity-peterborough.com.
