A variety of vintage and modern buses, along with historic commercial vehicles will descend on Peterborough on Sunday.
The buses will include examples of the iconic London Routemaster, with open rear platform displayed alongside modern vehicles operated by Stagecoach and First.
Besides the display of vehicles at Sacrewell Farm, visitors will also be able climb onboard the buses and take a trip to the nearby Nene Valley Railway at Wansford, or explore Wansford Village. The free shuttle service to and from Wansford will operate every 15 minutes between 10:45 and 15:45.
Local operator Delaine Buses, based in Bourne, will be providing a free service to Sacrewell Farm from Peterborough’s Queensgate Bus Station. Buses will leave Queensgate at 10:20 and hourly until 15:20. Delaine Buses, who are celebrating 125 years in passenger transport this year, will be using two buses from its heritage fleet on the free service.
Further details can be obtained from the event website at www.busrally.co.uk
Visitors are advised to use the free shuttle services to visit the show, as car parking charges apply at Sacrewell Farm. Admission into the Farm is not included.
