A unique singer/songwriter event is being held at the Key Theatre this weekend, with a live concert featuring some of the region’s best performers.

The first event of its kind for Peterborough, the Singer Songwriter Showcase Concert will take place at the Key Theatre on Saturday, from 7pm to 11pm.

This Peterborough based five piece have been thrilling audiences for several years, and on Saturday they return from a very successful performance in Lichtenstein, to headline the show and launch their brand new CD.

Discovered at a Glasshouse Acoustic session at the Key Theatre, when he was just nine-years-old, Thomas is an amazing talent with the performing presence of a much more mature and experienced performer. Be prepared to be “rocked” by this now 10-year-old veteran.

This stunning songstress will leave you breathless as she delivers her awesome original songs with power and passion.

Following the concert, on Sunday starting at 11am will be several singer songwriter workshops, including vocal coaching, song writing, guitar playing,session choir and beat this. Tickets for the workshops are £5 or £4 for students.

At 3pm there will be a Glasshouse Acoustic Session,featuring The Waterboat Men, Eastern Angles and Session Choir. There will also be an opportunity for participants of the workshops to perform on stage. Entry to the session is free.

This is a must attend weekend for any aspiring musician and for lovers of superb quality acoustic performance.
