Peterborough’s Broadway theatre threw open the doors to the box office for the first time today as curtain up on the new series of Bill Kenwright hit shows moves ever closer.

A queue had formed ahead of the 10am opening and business remained steady all day, with theatregoers eager to snap up tickets for the likes of Blood Brothers, The Sound of Music and The Glenn Miller Story starring Tommy Steele, ahead of the season which gets under way on November 17 with Jesus Christ Superstar.

Theatre manager Will Prideaux, who was in the box office when it opened for business, said: “There is a spectacular variety of entertainment on offer at the Broadway Theatre this season; now it’s over to the people of Peterborough to make the most of it!”
