Peterborough Jazz Club at The Great Northern Hotel, Peterborough welcomes back, after a five year gap, the superb big band 78RPM on Sunday, December 13.

Formed in 1990 by saxophonist Julian Landymore, 78RPM play a wide range of big band arrangements from the great bands of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Glenn Miller, through the funk of The Average White Band and Earth Wind & Fire to the progressive jazz of Pat Matheny.

The 17-piece big band is packed with great soloists and the band’s high quality rapidly established it as one of the very best bands in the Eastern Region and beyond, being awarded second place in the prestigious BBC Radio Big Band competition some years ago.

With a great programme of music, combined with a performance that is spontaneous, full of vitality and excitement, you will not want to miss the Christmas special. Music starts at 8.00pm

Tickets cost £16 and are available from the Great Northern Hotel or at the door.
