Residents can discover new skills by joining the Forest for Peterborough Woodland Heritage Conservation and Craft Days which are held every Thursday and the last Saturday of the month in Bretton.

The events teach traditional skills associated with the ancient woodlands, such as woodland management, wildlife surveying, woodcraft and carving, woodland history research and bush craft.

Visitors must take part in all activities because class sizes are limited and should wear suitable clothing and footwear.

On Thursdays they meet on Essendyke Road (PE3 8JD) from 10am-10.15am.

On the last Saturday of every month the group works in Grimeshaw Wood on Essendyke Road (PE3 8JD), 10am-4pm.

Contact Matthew Robinson, on 01733 568408 for more information.
