Peterborough Museum will be holding a range of festive events in the run-up to Christmas.

On Saturday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm, decorate your house with funky festive felt this year – from cute mice with candy cane tails, to 3D tree ornaments, they’ll be as much fun to hang up as they are to make! Suitable for ages 5+. £5 per child; accompanying adults free.

For £30 per person visitors can learn how to make a Christmas wreath and festive candle arrangement at a workshop being held in Peterborough Museum on December 7 from 10am until 1pm. An experienced florist will guide people through the techniques of making a luxury decorative wreath and candle arrangement. Materials will be provided but take your own strong scissors. Over-16s only.

Peterborough Museum will have expert willow weaver Sue Kirk on hand for a decorations workshop on December 14 from 10am to 12.30pm and again from 1.30pm - 4pm. Places are £25 per person, which includes all the materials needed. The workshop will cover techniques such as rose ties, two-ply cordage and god’s eyes. Over-12s only.
