Ignition say they are likely to be the most original covers act in the area.
With a feisty plethora of classic and obscure 90s and 2000s Brit Rock, punk and hard hock tunes to go bang your head off to, the group provides an exciting and rambunctious alternative to the regular covers band fare.
So if you favour quality songs by the likes of The Wildhearts, Therapy, Bad Religion, Stone Temple Pilots, Buck Cherry, 3 Colours Red, The Offspring, Nirvana, China Drum, Nine Inch Nails and Deftones and are sick to the back teeth with “safe, predictable commercially flaccid pub covers acts”, then Ignition is the bombastic new band to go and see.
Ignition are Richard ‘Angus’ Mackman on bass/backing vox, Paul ‘Bertie’ Cummins on lead vocals, the brash and bashy powerhouse of a drummer Staceman Malton, Paul Emery on guitar/vox, and Martin Spiller on lead guitar.
The group launches a seven-track CD launch on November 10 at The Swiss Cottage, Oundle Road, Peterborough, for £3, featuring extremely feisty, spirited and accurate renditions recorded - as performance takes - the tried and trusted old-fashioned way - at Jigsaw Studios in Deeping.
