Shirley Williams will be keynote speaker at Heritage Festival

As the 2014 Peterborough Heritage Festival nears, Vivacity has announced that Baroness Shirley Williams will be this year’s special guest speaker.

Shirley Williams will talk movingly about her mother – Vera Brittain – whose activities helped shape the political landscape in the early years of the 20th

The ever popular guest lecture, entitled ‘The Life of Vera Brittain’, will take place at 7.30pm on Saturday 21 June in the beautiful surroundings of Peterborough Cathedral.

Brittain’s pioneering war memoir Testament of Youth still continues to make its impact 80 years after it was first published.

The talk will be followed by a book signing in association with Waterstones.

The talk is presented in association with Clive Conway Productions Ltd.
