Seventy ales and a host of live acts are in the line-up for a St George’s weekend beer festival at The Hand and Heart.

The four-day event is raising money for Help for Heroes, and the musical acts have waived their appearance fees.

The music begins at the Highbury Street pub on Thursday (April 18) from 9pm, with Captain Backwash and the Barley Boy (and Girl) Rafter Raisers.

On Friday the music begins at 7pm, with One Nation, Raidon and Ignition, while Saturday will feature appearances from The Acoustic Twins, Black Cases and The Librarians.

The event concludes on Sunday with music from Chris Barry, Dave Reid, Riot City Blues, Ian Graham and Kat, and Uncertain Midnight.
