The festival is being held at Stamford Town Meadows from Friday, June 17, to Sunday, June 19, and is organised by established market event specialist the Market Square Group.

The Stamford Food and Drink Festival will bring together independent food and drink companies from Lincolnshire and its neighbouring counties, and Market Square Group Director Paul Kennedy hopes it will inspire more people to buy locally.

Stallholders have already begun to sign up and there will also be live music on stage for all to enjoy and children’s entertainment.

Visitor entry to the festival will be free of charge.

Paul Kennedy said: “Stamford is famous for its independent boutiques and shops and The Town Meadows is the perfect area to hold a festival like this.

“We are looking to get a wide of variety of different produce at the event, for example handmade cheeses, sausages, fresh fruit and veg, confectionary, olives and oils, chutneys and pickles.

“We want to bring a real taste of the region to Stamford so please get in touch with us if you wouldlike to be a part of the Stamford Food and Drink Festival 2016.”
