FENSCAPE, based at the Springfields Shopping Outlet Centre, in Spalding, has successfully held the first two lectures in its winter lecture series on the theme of stories from the Fens.
The free series kicked off on January 10 with Women's Story by Abi Hunt, who looked at women's roles on farms in the Fens throughout the twentieth century, and continues tomorrow with local agronomist of 35 years, Michael Harrison, who will look at the process food goes through from field to plate in Food's Story.

Fenland Waterways' Story is the topic of William Smith's lecture on January 31.

The Treasure Hunters Story, on February 7, will tell you where to get the best bargain in the Fens.

And finally, Discover Your Own Story, with Linda Brighton on February 14, you can learn about researching your family history.

The lectures will be held in the David Bellamy Community Room at Fenscape, Springfields Shopping Outlet Centre. Refreshments will be available from 6.30pm, lectures start at 7pm and last about 45 minutes with questions at the end.

The Winter Lecture Series has been funded by The Fens, Food and Flowers Festival Project and organised in association with The Fenland Family History Society.

For more information, or to book, call Keelie Gray or Lindsey Holmes on 01775 764800.
