A YOUNG cricket player made history at the weekend when he scored the first hat trick by a Barnack player for more than two decades.
Seth Burkett (17) got the hattrick in Barnack 1st XI's victory over Ramsey 2nds on Saturday.

The youngster, who is also from Barnack said: "It was a combination of luck and skill I think. I just got mobbed by everyone at the end and my dad had to buy them all a drink."

It is thought to be the first hat trick by a Barnack player for more than 20 years. Seth has been playing cricket since he was 13 but only recently started playing with the first team and is subject to age restrictions on his bowling.
