GARDEN lovers are in for a treat on June 7 and 8.
The delightful gardens of Benefield House will be opened to the public and the neighbouring church will host a themed flower festival in Lower Benefield, near Oundle.
On S
unday there will also be the village fete filled with fun and enjoyment for all the family from children's fancy dress at 2.30pm and pet show to games, stalls, Pimms tent and a barbecue.
The garden and flower festival will run between 2pm and 5pm on both days with all proceeds going to Benefield church funds.

Air your views
KETTON annual parish open meeting and parish council meeting take place on Wednesday May 21 in the Scouts and Guides headquarters building in Pit Lane.
The open meeting starts at 7pm and will be immediately followed by the parish council meeting.
Residents can air their views on community life at the open meeting and will see the election of parish council officers at the following meeting.
Anyone interested in their village, or residents wishing to get their views across and listen to the opinions of others, should attend.
Food for thought
MEMBERS of the Ketton Horticultural Society enjoyed a talk on edible landscaping from Clive Simms at the last meeting.
More than 30 people attended the event to hear the talk that covered all types of edible plants, from small ones to trees and shrubs.
The next event will be a plant sale at Ketton club, on High Street, Ketton, from 10am to noon on Saturday and an evening trip to the Old Rectory, Sudborough on July 9.
