AN international rugby star has made an appearance in the city.
Ben Kay won the Rugby World Cup with England in 2003 and has achieved a total of 58 caps for his country.

The 6ft 6in Leicester Tigers forward paid a visit to staff at Coca-Cola Enterprises in Morley Way, as a thank you for being an official sponsor of the England team through their sports drink Powerade.

Mr Kay spoke about his career with England, then took part in a question and answer session.

He took time to sign memorabilia and pose for photos with fans, before trying his hand at working in the company's contact centre.

He said: "It's nice to be able to come and support our sponsors, who also give something back to the grass roots level of rugby.

"I gave a little talk to some of the staff. It was good fun and very informal, there were a lot of good questions asked. It was obvious there were a quite a few rugby fans which made it easier.

"Leicester is the nearest big rugby club to Peterborough, so it's nice to come and see some fans from outside of the usual area."
