EVER dreamed about having your favourite band play a set in your living room?
Whittlesey group Mesh 29 have made this wish come true for some fans by setting up a special tour to mark the release of their latest album.
They sent out an open invitation for people, up and down the country, to host shows in their living rooms.
And next month the three-piece will be playing in venues as exotic as Heike's house in Bristol and Soph's home in Manchester.
All they require to perform an acoustic set is a bite to eat, a place to sleep and costs to cover their travel.
Each fan can then pack as many friends as they can into the room to create a unique and personal gig experience.
It was just last year that Mesh 29 broke into the top 40 after their huge drive to get song Over The Barricade into the charts on download sales alone proved successful.
Since then, the band, Anthony Shiels, Adam Mezzatesta and Dave Jackson, have played a number of high-profile gigs, including a headliner at the University of London Union, and support slots with Air Traffic and Scouting for Girls.
But this year they have been focusing on recording their new album Secret Traffic – the follow-up to 2006's Dead Machine.
Pianist Anthony said: "We wanted to give something back to our fans, so we thought we would throw open an invitation for us to go and play in their homes.
"We had a lot of response and we are now looking to starting the tour in full this October.
"So far we are playing 11 shows, and we will be filming a lot of it for a mini 'On The Road' film, which we will release later in the year."
"But first we have a few shows in Peterborough, including our official album launch at the Met Lounge this Thursday and one at The Cresset in October."
The band have also just shot a video for their song White Light. It was filmed in north London with a professional film crew and actress.
Anthony added: "It was a great day, but it got off to a rocky start when the exhaust fell off our van en route."
