It's a record! Thirteen vehicles in one small "pedestrianised'' area. And that's not counting the motorcyclist who razzed through.
At 1.20pm on Tuesday, August 12 in the "pedestrianised'' area of Cathedral Square and Church Street:

  • Vans 3

  • Cars 8

  • Lorries 2

But that's it for me, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, so I'm giving up my one-man campaign.

The sign clearly says no vehicles except for permit holders, so I'm going to apply for one. They must be really easy to get as so many people must have one.

I can't wait, it'll be so handy when I want to nip to the bank – and I won't even have to pay like all those mugs in Queensgate.

I just hope those pedestrians don't get in my way.

What do you think about thea mount of vehicles in the pedestrianised area between Cathedral Square and Church Street?

The image shown is not even Cathedral Square, and technically isn't even part of the designated pedestrian area

I'm more amazed Nigel that you only found 12 vehicles. Go down any normal day at 10am - 11am or 4pm and you'll see many more.
