MAKE tracks for the Travelchoice Centre at the bus station in Peterborough for a great deal on railcards.
The shop is now the place to get a cut-price card, rather than Peterborough City Council's cash office, in Bayard Place, Broadway.

Thanks to a subsidy from the council, the centre offers railcards to the disabled, senior citizens and young people at a 20 per cent discount. They entitle holders to fare reductions of up to one-third.

The council's help means a young person's or senior railcard costs £19.20 rather than £24, while a disabled person's is £14.40, compared to £18 from a train station.

To enjoy the discount, go to the Travelchoice Centre with proof of eligibility and residence, and for a young person's card, a passport photograph as well.

The city council subsidises railcards to encourage train use and increase freedom of travel.

The centre is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am on Wednesday.

It is also now open on Saturday from 9am to noon, and 1pm to 4pm.
