Netherton clinched second spot from Lord Westwood in the Peterborough Sunday Morning League Premier Division after a 10-0 hammering of Parkside in which Adam Scotcher, Jon Harrison, Matt Seddon and Jonnie Stead all hit doubles.
In Division One champions Limetree are confident of living with the big boys next season after topping their league by six points.
Manager Greg Hilliam said: "We have played some really good stuff this season and I think we have more than enough t
alent to be a force in the Premier Division.
"We have plenty of goals in the side and as long as we focus on our strengths as a team we will be fine."
In the battle for the Division Two crown, PFA Junior Cup holders Cherry Tree beat rivals Parkway 7-2 but it still may not be enough to win them the league.
The result puts Cherry Tree two points ahead of the McCains Cup holders but as their rivals have a game in hand, boss Martin Podzuns is in for a nervy couple of days.
He said: "I would say that is our best performance of the season, it is just a shame that it may not be enough.
" We have one game left but they have two so if they win them both there is nothing we can do. They have Sawtry and Star Inn while we have Werrington so we are hoping Sawtry can do us a favour.
"But whatever happens we have done really well to have won a cup and pushed so hard for the league in our first season."
The Division Three title was settled last week when Thomas Cook cruised past Werrington 9-3 to win their league with a game to spare.
