A NOSTALGIC TV show being screened on Thursday night (August 21) has uncovered some memories of Stamford's past.
ITV's The Way We Were, which is being broadcast in the Yorkshire region at 7.30pm, features interviews with former members of

Stamford's Darby and Joan Club in the '60s, when the Recreation Ground Road venue was used for dancing and party receptions.

Former member Mary Noble (98), of Essex Road, was interviewed for the programme.

She said: "I've many fond memories of the Darby and Joan and it was great being asked to do the interview."
