Stamford: Teenager assaulted and robbed

Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was robbed of his mobile phone at Stamford's Music on the Meadow festival, on Saturday (5 July).
Dc Dave Parrish, who is investigating, said: "At about 10pm a 16-year-old male was assaulted by two males in Station Road, Stamford.

"During the course of the assault, he had his mobile phone stolen by one of the assailants.

"The victim received facial injuries which did not require hospital treatment. One of the offenders ran across the bridge onto the meadows, where the music festival was taking place.

"He was chased by the victim and a security guard but made good his escape."

The first offender is described as a white male, aged 17 to 18, of slim build. He had short blond hair and wore a dark T-shirt.

The second man is described as a white male, aged 19 to 20, with brown hair.
