Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion are understood to have started interviewing for their vacant manager's position.According to reports in a Birmingham newspaper, The Baggies are concentrating on managers currently out of work, which is good news for Posh fans as Darren Ferguson was among the early front-runners for the job.

Ferguson, Preston boss Alan Irvine and St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes were the favourites for the post earlier this week, but West Brom are understood to want to avoid paying compensation for their new man.

Alan Curbishley, Alan Pardew, Steve Coppell, Aidy Boothroyd, Gordon Strachan, David O'Leary, Paul Jewell and Paul Ince are all believed to have shown an interest in the job.
