The giant Posh keeper has a chance of being involved in England's European Championships Under 21 final against Germany in Malmo, Sweden tonight.
And his selection has been accompanied by a suggestion that Everton are preparing a multi-million bid for the 21 year-old. Newspaper reports claim that Everton manager David Moyes is ready to offer Posh 2 million for a keeper who made an England senior squad last summer.

Director of football Barry Fry, the man who oversees all player-movement in and out of London Road, said: "I've had no conversation with Everton or any other club about Joe which is a surprise because he is forever being linked with Premier League teams.
"He's certainly good enough to play at that level, but there is no question of us wanting to sell him. He's a big part of what we are trying to achieve here.
"Joe has a big reputation in the game and playing for England can only improve that."
Moyes went on the record last week stating that his transfer policy this summer would involve signing 'young, hungry players'. He was also linked with Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph.
Lewis was in the running alongside Watford's Scott Loach to replace suspended first-choice keeper Joe Hart tonight. Both played half a game against Germany in the group stages when Hart was rested.
Lewis was the player chosen to conduct a pre-final interview with the national press yesterday. He said: "It must be devastating for Joe to miss out on the final as he's got us all the way there.
"But someone now has to step up to the plate and if it was me it would be the biggest game I've ever played in. It's the sort of game that you're desperate to play in and I was ready for it."
Lewis is not expected to join up with the rest of the Posh first-team squad when they report back for pre-season training on Wednesday.
Posh made an undisclosed bid for an unnamed central defender over the weekend. If the bid is accepted and the player agrees personal terms, Posh would abandon their long-held plan to sign a young Premier League centre-back on loan for the season.
Transfer-listed Posh striker Rene Howe held transfer talks with League Two side Lincoln City over the weekend. Notts County and Yeovil are also interested in the former Kettering forward.
