Triathlon: Robinson blasts to another schools win

THE PACTRAC Peterborough Schools Triathlon at Stanground College proved a success with George Robinson adding to his Peterborough Primary Schools cross-country success.

THE PACTRAC Peterborough Schools Triathlon at Stanground College proved a success with George Robinson adding to his Peterborough Primary Schools cross-country success.Robinson won the Year 5/6 race by 10 seconds from Aisling Ruff. Ruff narrowly led Hal Wyatt coming out of the pool and went further ahead on the bike but Robinson blasted through on the run.

Ruff's elder sister Shannon was also a runner-up, in the Year 8/9 race as Matthew Brigham produced the fastest swim and bike stages to win cosily.

Spencer Hoppe, son of four-time European triathlon silver medallist Simon, was runner-up in the Year 3/4 race won by Tabitha Walford.

Georgie Freeman, a useful swimmer and runner with City of Peterborough Swimming Club (COPS) and Peterborough Athletic Club (PAC) respectively, won the Year 10/11 race while Haydn Tankard took the Year 7 honours.
