Have your say

England shouldn’t be fooled into thinking they have an aging Australian team on the ropes.

Gary Ballance looks like a rabbit in the headlights, Ian Bell remains fragile and Moeen Ali will get battered by Steve Smith and co. A great start to the Ashes for captain Alistair Cook though and sweet that obnoxious Aussie half-wit Brad Haddin cost his side the match on the first morning.

A BARREN SCOTTISH FIELD

I’m not a fan of watching golf on a links course. You have to be playing to appreciate the majesty of St Andrews. On TV the home of golf just looks like a big, barren Scottish field. The absence of Rory McIlroy is another reason why I’ll only tune in if it’s raining over Longthorpe.
