DEEPING Diamonds faced their toughest task in a long time when they came up against a very strong and well organised Wyberton Wildcats team at the weekend.

They had obviously done their homework as every time Yasmin Green or Amie Forde got the ball they were totally surrounded.

After a goalless first half it was the Diamonds who came out stronger and with Green and Forde tied up, it was Kerry Chawko who took on the goalscoring role, firing home a match-winning brace.

An outstanding performance in defence by Keeley Tansley earned her the player-of-the-match award.

Diamonds: Rebecca Warr, Keeley Tansley, Jasmine Maude, Kiera McHattie, Amie Ford, Kerry Chawko, Yasmin Green, Sophie Langan, Chloe Moscatiello, Libby Field.
