Two riders from Panthers' fast-growing stable of young Australian talent competed in their national Under 21 championship on Saturday night (16 January).

Two riders from Panthers' fast-growing stable of young Australian talent competed in their national Under 21 championship on Saturday night (16 January).Taylor Poole – the son of club legend Mick – made a surprise return from injury to collect five points for a 14th place finish at Mildura.

Fellow future Panther Dakota North was joint seventh on seven points and only missed out on a place in the semi-final on countback to Sheffield rider Hugh Skidmore.

The youngsters will ride on loan at Premier League clubs next season with Poole going to Stoke and North plying his trade at Newcastle.

Reigning World Under 21 champion Darcy Ward was a predictable winner of the meeting.
