Peterborough Panthers promoter Ged Rathbone reckons new recruit Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen can take the Premier League by storm in 2016.
The city club have tonight (November 6) confirmed the capture of the highly-rated Danish talent on loan from second-tier rivals Rye House.
Busk Jakobsen (21) arrives on a 6.91 average but is expected to be capable of boosting that figure.
And his recent form on the international stage suggests that should be possible. Busk Jakobsen piled up 15 points when helping Denmark win the silver medals in the World Under 21 Team Cup in Australia last weekend.
Rathbone said: “Nikaolaj is very highly rated and very excited to be joining Peterborough.
“He sees it as the perfect move to really progress his career and that is an opinion I share.
“I’ve been aware of him since I spent some time in Denmark in 2014 and followed his progress with interest last season at Rye House.
“He had a really solid start to his British career and I fully expect him to kick on next year with the experience and knowledge of all tracks under his belt.
“He has immense potential and a great career ahead of him.”
Busk Jakobsen is the second confirmed member of the Panthers team for 2016. Countryman Michael Palm Toft had been the first name on the teamsheet.
Further signings are expected in the coming days with pieces of the jigsaw falling into place.
