The annual spring regatta hosted by Peterborough Rowing Club at Thorpe Meadows was a spectacular success over the weekend (May 30/31).

City registered 18 wins and 10 second places against the stiffest of competition and seven of their rowers have been credited with 1,000m club course records

Single scullers Archie Sootheran and Camilla Plumb won on both days, while Tom Nash also won a single sculls event as well as a double scull race alongside Thomas Marshall.

Senior winners were James Child and Tom Dolby, James Plumb, Anna Julia Robotham and Megan Stoker.

The women’s four of Aimee Parker, Charlotte Adams, Hannah Chatfield and Megan Stoker, plus cox Hannah Parker, lost their novice status with a victory
