Peterborough Regional College maintained their unbeaten start to the season when winning 17-7 away at the Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge yesterday (October 21).

It was a third win from three British Colleges League games for Lewis Capes’ side but they had to work much harder against their fellow title contenders to extend their winning sequence .

The Peterborough team did all their scoring in the first half as Lewis Adams and Tom Winch crossed for converted tries and Taylor Crowson dropped a goal.

The Cambridge lads tried hard to get back into it in the second half but were confronted by an outstanding Regional College defence in which number seven Dalton Capes led the way.

Coach Capes said: “We played a sensible game today. We applied our gameplan efficiently and kept a disciplined defensive structure.”
