There was a superb all-round display by members of Peterborough City Rowing Club at the weekend.
They travelled to Loughborough on Saturday and took the Head of the Soar event by storm, winning seven races and finishing second in another four.
Tom Dolby played a part in two of the successes. After winning the IM3 single sculls, he teamed up with James Child to take the IM3 coxless pairs honours.
Jack Ward also tasted success in a single scull, winning the Masters E singles and coming second in the Masters D category.
Keith Blackman and Tim Lloyd won both the Masters C and the Masters D double sculls and Ian Davis and Pete Dolby won the Masters D pairs.
Larger crews were also represented with the victorious Masters C quad of Mark Ducker, Ruairi Moore, Steve Ackerman and Peter Orme being followed home by their clubmates Richard Bray, Joe Smith, Owen Green and Neil Elder in second place.
The Women’s Masters D double of Joan Heath and Anita Carter held off several younger crews on the course to take an impressive second place.
And the Masters E quad of Owen Green, Joe Smith, Neil Elder and Peter Orme were only 10 seconds short of winning in their category.
