Ice hockey: Peterborough Phantoms are hoping to unveil their new coach in a matter of days.Following the announcement that last season's treble-winning coach Colin Patterson would not be coming back, the club's top brass have launched a search for his replacement.
The latest name to be linked with the post is Telford player/coach Claude Dumas.
But after ruling out Phantoms legend Jesse Hammill earlier in the week, director of hockey Jon Kynaston was also quick to rule the experienced Canadian out of the running.
He said: "There have been rumours flying around and from what I have heard none of those rumours are correct and that includes Dumas.
"We are currently in talks with a number of excellent candidates and we are hoping to be able to make an announcement by the end of the week or certainly by the start of next."
Kynaston also confirmed the club is waiting to get next season's head coach in place before making any moves to replace top scorers Craig Peacock and Nathan Rempel in the transfer market.
