Phantoms aiming to complete a magnificent seven at Bracknell tonight

PHANTOMS will chase a magnificent seventh win in a row tonight when they travel to Bracknell.

PHANTOMS will chase a magnificent seventh win in a row tonight when they travel to Bracknell. And it promises to be a battle of the backstoppers according to Phantoms netminder Stephen Wall.

Wall believes his performance, and that of his opposite number – former Phantom Gregg Rockman – will be a key factor in where the two vital English Premier League points end up.

Wall and Rockman both feature prominently on the list of the meanest minders in the EPL – the Phantoms only leaking an average of 2.3 goals per game with Rockman shipping a respectable 2.74.

So it’s all set up to be a fascinating battle at the Hive this evening as Wall looks to maintain his place at the top of the pile.

He said: “I have known Rocky (Rockman) really well since the age of about 15 and he is a quality keeper so it would be nice to get one over on him.

“At the moment I feel in good form and I am pleased with my game but tonight is not just about me, the whole team needs to defend as a unit as we have been doing so far this season.

“There is no doubt it will be tough but I am confident that we can go there and get a win.

“We have been excellent on the road and have conceded more goals at home than we have away so the form is there for us to do it.

“Last season we struggled against them but things are different now.

“The Bees have been shut out a few times at their own place already and we must back ourselves to have an excellent chance of picking up our seventh win in a row and keeping the run going.”

Phantoms travel to Bracknell tonight (face-off 6pm) before welcoming Sheffield Scimitars to the Peterborough Arena tomorrow (face-off 5.30pm).
