The Peterborough Phantoms ice hockey team was founded in 2002. Their home venue is Planet Ice in Bretton.

They compete in the English Premier Ice Hockey League, formed in 1997.

Phantoms were Champions in 2002/03 and 2008/09, and English Cup champions in 2003/04 and 2008/09.

The team finished 6th in the 2010/2011 English Premier Ice Hockey League.

After beating Slough in the play-off quarter-finals they were knocked out in the semi-final by Guildford.

The club also run Peterborough Phantoms Junior Ice Hockey Club
