Cricket: Peterborough Town are the Hunts Under 13 champions.They beat Buckden by nine wickets in the final to reach the last 32 of the national Under 13 championship, where they will play Cambridge NCI on Sunday.
Matty Smith (41no) and Greg Rowland (35) were the Town stars as the city side knocked off the runs with over six overs to spare. Buckden were restricted to 113-3 off their 20 overs.
Scores: Buckden 113-3, Town 116 -1 (M. Smith 41no, G. Rowland 35).
SEVEN Peterborough Town players were in the Hunts Under 13 side that beat Norfolk by three wickets on Sunday.
Two of them - Mohammed Abdurahman (32) and Kyle Medcalf (24no) - were the top scorers as Hunts overhauled a Norfolk total of 148-7.
The other five from Town were Matty Smith, Greg Rowland, Scott Howard, Nadir Haider and Mo Nasiri.
Scores: Norfolk 148-7, Hunts 152-7 (Abdurahman 32, Medcalf 24no).
