This time though, the tables were turned as Peppercorn emerged victorious to get his hands on the huge winner’s trophy which is three feet tall.

Peppercorn is now busy training for next month’s Irish Open in Dublin, which is Europe’s biggest martial arts event. Thousands of students take part from all over the world.

Hicks Karate School will be sending a full team to Dublin and are always on the look-out for sponsors for big events. Anybody able to help should contact Andrew Hicks on 07974196256 or at www.hickskarate.co.uk.
