Cycling: Harwood quickest local in memorial time trial
BRETT Harwood was quickest of the local riders taking part in the Peterborough Cycling Club Open 10-mile Rob Corrigan Memorial Time Tria; at Stilton.
Sixty riders turned out to ride the event with five riders from the host club participating.
The weather conditions on the day made for a testing race with a blustery west wind and rain showers for good measure.
This didn’t dampen the spirits of the riders and some excellent times were posted, the best by the eventual winner Ian Cammish (Planet X) 21mins 23secs.
Local results:
Brett Harwood (i Ride.co.uk) 21:48
Nick Hitchens (PCC) 24:18
Mark Abbott (PCC) 24:40
Martin Hall (PCC) 26:20
Chris Harwood (PCC) 26:48
The final round of the Peterborough Cycling Club 10-mile Time Trial League took place last week and, after 14 rounds of the contest, it was Mark Abbott who won the Handicap League. Nick Sayer winning the Scratch League.
