The Carrot Wash at Pondersbridge is proving to be one of the most consistent stretches of fenland water.
Throughout winter it’s fished really well and in the latest Whittlesey AA Saturday match it proved to be every bit as good as most waters across the area.
Mark Barron came first with 10lb 3oz of small fish using an 8-metre whip and bronze maggot.
Mike Mohan took second place with 8lb 12oz caught on a waggler.
Third was Jeff Tuttlebee, who alternated between a whip and waggler to finish on 8lb 8oz
