Paul Crichton Intitially this admirable goalkeeper joined Posh on loan from Nottingham Forest in March 1987, before making the switch permanent in November 1988. Crichton went on to play for Doncaster, Grimsby, Aston Villa, Burnley and Norwich as well as West Brom.

A decent centre-back loaned by Posh manager Mick Halsall from Portsmouth in 1996. He had made his name at Coventry and Blackburn and went on to serve Gillingham, Northampton and West Brom.

High-class winger signed by Posh from West Brom at the age of 18, or at least he turned high-class when he left London Road and joined Watford under Graham Taylor. He also played for Rochdale, Barnsley and Blackpool.
Tony Godden
This agile goalkeeper played more than 250 games for 'The Baggies' in the exciting days under Ron Atkinson's management before moving on to Chelsea and Birmingham. He played one season (1989-90) for Posh before turning his hand to coaching.
Lyndon Hughes
This powerful right-back played for Posh between 1975-78 after joining on a free transfer frm West Brom. He made more than 100 appearances for 'The Baggies'.
Noel Luke
One of Posh's longest-serving players started his career as a kid at 'The Hawthorns'. He made close to 350 appearances for Posh before he was controversially released in 1993.
Mick Martin
Excellent midfielder for West Brom in the late 1970s who remarkably earned the nick-name 'Zico'. Graced Newcastle and the Republic of Ireland, but was pretty useless under Wile at Posh.
Alan Merrick
This right-back spent a month on loan at London Road in the the mid-1970s after a far more illustrious and lengthy career at West Brom.
Tony Millington
This keeper earned eight international Welsh caps while with Posh. He started his career at The Hawthorns, but Gordon Clark signed him from Crystal Palace in 1966 in a deal which also landed England international Derek Kevan.
Stuart Naylor
Another keeper with experience of both clubs. he made just eight appearances for Posh in 1983, but went on to become Albion's number one for 10 years.
Martin Pike
Wile brought this talented left-back with him when he returned to Posh from West Brom. He famously went in goal for the final few minutes of a shock FA Cup win over Leeds in 1985 after John Turner had broken his leg.
James Quinn
A Northern Ireland international striker who was a huge disappointment at London Road after Mark Wright had snapped him up. West Brom spent 500,000 on taking him from Blackpool in 1998.
Terry Simpson
The cultured wing-half was mourned when he left Posh for West Brom in 1963 in a swap which brought Keith Smith to London Road. Simpson went on to help West Brom beat Posh in a League Cup semi-final in 1966.

He was okay at West Brom, but totally overshadowed by the great Derek Dougan at London Road. Quickly moved on to Crystal Palace.
Luke Steele
Posh sold their highly-rated teenager to Manchester United for 500,000 after just two Football League appearances. He now finds himself as understudy to Dean Kiely at West Brom.
