Court professional John Roe said: “I was lucky enough to be invited a to play in the world Chinese 8-ball masters in Xi An. I’d never played the game before, but I soon realised the size of it.

“Some of the top snooker players in the world took part including Neil Robertson and Judd Trump so it was an honour to be invited.

“I reached the third qualifying round, beating snooker professional Craig Steadman along the way, which I was delighted with.

“The game is addictive and there is now massive interest in England. We have been able to ship two tables over and we are the first club in England to have them.
