'IT was two points dropped'. That was the view shared by both Crowland boss Peter Harrison and Leverington chief Wayne Garner after their sides shared four goals on Saturday.
'IT was two points dropped'. That was the view shared by both Crowland boss Peter Harrison and Leverington chief Wayne Garner after their sides shared four goals on Saturday.Martin Ward and Luke Walker twice gave Crowland the edge, but Scott McManus pulled Leverington back on terms before he missed a late chance to nick all three points.
And more managers in agreement could be found over at Parson Drove where Alconbury swooped for maximum points with a 3-2 success.
The visitors – who fielded ace Northern Star striker Karl Gibbs at centre back – had Sam Newman, Lee Deane and John Reddell to thank for their goals.
Manager Barry Gregory said: "We played some of the best football we have produced all season – we were nothing short of superb at times."
Stand-in Drove boss Gary Shales was not impressed with what he saw. Paul Shafer did have the hosts on terms at 1-1 but the game was over by the time Sam Kilby struck their second goal.
Shales admitted: "The scoreline flattered us. We were very poor all over and got exactly what we deserved."
